What inspired you to become a dancer?
I heard somebody say “I didn’t find my passion, I cultivated it”.  That was me.  I enjoyed the dance, and with Jairelbhi we worked hard and got inspired.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?
The moment when the light turns on and you can see it in the students’ eyes.

Do you have a mantra you live by or a favorite motto?
The body follows the mind and the mind follows the body.

Who is the most inspiring person you know?

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Anywhere in Africa because I haven’t been there.

What is your favorite thing to do on your day off?
We have an 11 year old daughter, we don’t get a day off!

Different proteins, all kinds of vegetables, coffee, and chocolate ice cream.

What is your favorite T.V. show to binge watch?
Just finished all seasons of "The Walking Dead.”  (New season starts in a couple days.)

What are two things not many people know about you?
1.  Before tango (and Jairelbhi) I never could or would get on the dance floor.  I dreaded it.
2.  I loved taking classes in college and if I didn’t have to work I would be taking classes all the time.

Where did you grow up?
Buenos Aires and then Dallas.

What is your secret talent?
I can make forward circles with my left arm while making backward circles with the right.  (Try it.)

What is your guilty pleasure?

I dry my hair to a certain drum cadence that I learned in high school (yes I have been drying my hair this way for 30 years).

What celebrity embodies your inner rockstar?
Neil Peart (drummer for rock group Rush)

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Everything.  I changed so many times.  I just wanted to be good at whatever I did.

One word people use to describe you?

What never fails to get you out of a bad mood?
Jairelbhi's chin trick

What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1.  Travel so I could...
2.  ...eat and...
3.  ...drink all different cultures.

What is the best advice you ever received?
It's all about the details, but don’t sweat the small stuff.  (Took me a while to get it.)
