Part-Time Receptionist/Sales Associate
Studio 22 is seeking Part-Time Receptionist/Sales Associate who wants to be part of the world of Ballroom Dancing!
About Studio 22:
Studio 22 is the premier ballroom & social dance studio in Dallas. Every month, the studio holds over 100 group classes, including both International and American styles (ballroom) and social dances. The studio also hosts a variety of special events, including Saturday night social parties.
Job Description:
The ideal Receptionist at Studio 22 has previous sales/customer service experience, and is comfortable working with a variety of individuals, handling sales inquiries via phone and in-person, and has excellent communication and computer skills. S/he is an energetic, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and handle projects proactively with little supervision. It is important that s/he maintains a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, and works well with other team members. Punctuality, dependability, and professionalism are required.
Receptionists provide the first impression of our dance studio to students, members, and first-time guests. Receptionists are responsible for:

Warmly greeting current and prospective students/members

The knowledgeable sales of studio memberships and merchandise

Handling all student/member inquiries, providing information and education as necessary

Handling all student/member requests and transactions (ex: class registration, class check-ins, sales transactions)

Answering the phone and e-mail professionally
-
Maintaining cleanliness of front lobby area, ballrooms and other studio facilities

Event set-up and break-down

Handling administrative projects directed by Management
Job Requirements:

Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; some college a plus

Must have prior receptionist, administrative, customer service, and/or sales experience

Must have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel, e-mail programs, and the ability to learn new software

Flexibility in scheduling with availability in afternoons, evenings, and on weekends

Comfortable with office machinery (printer, fax, computer, etc.)

Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task

Must work well under pressure

Good phone etiquette and professional appearance

Excellent people skills, with a focus on customer service
-
Maintains composure regardless of the situation or personality type

Previous sales experience preferred (no outside sales for this position)

Previous event experience, POS knowledge, and/or restaurant experience, especially fine dining, a plus

May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
-
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, as necessary.
Pay: Hourly
Hours: PART TIME: 20 – 30 hours/week. (4 – 5 shifts)
Schedule: Daytime, evening, weekends. Must have weekend availability. Flexible scheduling.
